Veneers
A veneer is a facing made of either porcelain or composite resin, bonded to the front of a tooth to improve its appearance.
Veneers can be used to improve the shape of teeth, to close gaps between teeth, or to whiten the teeth and give you the bright white smile you have always wanted!
Veneers are most commonly placed on anterior teeth, for example, the upper six front teeth. The teeth will usually require some preparation to allow for the thickness of porcelain or composite resin, although this is not always the case. For porcelain veneers an impression will then be taken and the veneers crafted by a dental laboratory. Composite resin veneers can be placed directly in one appointment, with the dentist sculpting and shaping the final result.
